Overview

Ivan is an associate in our Energy, Infrastructure and Project Finance group. Ivan's experience focuses on international corporate and financing transactions, particularly those involving the energy sector. Prior to joining the London office in 2014, Ivan was based in our New York office from 2008 to 2012, and our associated Riyadh office from 2012 to 2014.

Ivan represents sponsors, developers, investors and lenders in all aspects of project development, financing and restructuring of large-scale projects in the Middle East and elsewhere around the globe, with a focus on the power, oil and gas, petrochemical and transportation industries.

Experience

Representation of Saudi Aramco (Saudi Arabian Oil Company) in the structuring, tendering, development and financing of three cogeneration plants in the Eastern Province of The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The multi-site project will have a total capacity of 876 MW of power.

Representation of Saudi Aramco (Saudi Arabian Oil Company) in the development and structuring of Sadara Chemical Company, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and The Dow Chemical Company that will build and operate a US$20 billion, world-scale integrated refining and petrochemical complex in Jubail, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Representation of Saudi Aramco (Saudi Arabian Oil Company) in connection with the expansion of the US$9.9 billion refinery, ethane cracker, petrochemical complex and associated conversion industrial park in Rabigh, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Representation of Bayonne Energy Center, a joint venture between Hess Corporation and ArcLight Capital Partners, in connection with the construction, development, operation and project financing of the 512 MW natural gas-fired, simple-cycle power generation facility in Bayonne, New Jersey. This facility will be interconnected via submarine cable to the Gowanus substation in Brooklyn, New York. This deal was selected as "2010 North America Single Asset Power Deal of the Year" by Project Finance magazine and as "2010 Americas Power Deal of the Year" by Project Finance International magazine.

Representation of the General Authority of Civil Aviation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and IFC in connection with the tender, development, financing, construction and operation of the Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport located in Madinah, on the west coast of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
