Overview

Jared Muller has significant experience in the delivery of major infrastructure projects, particularly in the energy and resources sectors. He has an excellent working knowledge in the preparation and negotiation of off-take agreements, infrastructure access and sharing arrangements, supply arrangements, connection agreements, development and construction related agreements including engineering, procurement and construction contracts, equipment supply contracts, EPCM contracts, operations agreements, maintenance arrangements and other related project documents.

Advising INPEX in relation to the development of the Abadi LNG Project in Indonesia.

Ichthys LNG Project
Advising INPEX in relation to the offshore gas development project of the Ichthys LNG Project.

Pilbara LTE Project
Advising Rio Tinto in relation to the development of the Pilbara LTE Project in Western Australia.

Esperance Power Project
Advised Regional Power Corporation (trading as Horizon Power), a Western Australian Government Trading Enterprise, on the development of a ‘hybrid’ gas fired power station and renewable facilities (solar and wind), with battery storage capacity, as well as the development of an LNG storage and regasification facility adjacent to the gas fired power station site, in Esperance, Western Australia.

Eyre Peninsula Transmission Line Project
Advising ElectraNet in relation to the development of the Eyre Peninsula Transmission Line Project, a double circuit 132 kV line from Cultana to Port Lincoln via Yadnarie in South Australia.

South Australian Transmission Network Upgrade Project
Advising ElectraNet in relation to a major upgrade of the transmission network in South Australia involving the introduction of synchronous condensers in strategic locations within the transmission network with a view to improving the system strength and reducing costs for electricity customers.

Western Victoria Transmission Network Project
Advising AusNet in relation to its successful bid to the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) to build, own and operate the contestable assets for the Western Victoria Transmission Network Project (WVTNP) and the upgrade of the non-contestable assets related to the WVTNP.

Metro Tunnel Project
Advising Melbourne Metro Rail Authority in relation to the Metro Tunnel Project in Victoria, which includes the development of twin 9 kilometre rail tunnels, 5 new underground stations and over-station developments in and around the Melbourne CBD.

Northern Gas Pipeline Project*
Advised Jemena Limited (owned by State Grid Corporation of China and Singapore Power) in relation to Jemena's successful bid for the development of the Northern Gas Pipeline Project. The 622km pipeline will link the Northern Territory to the east Australia gas market, unlocking the next phase of economic growth for the Northern Territory.

Dugald River Mine Project*
Advised MMG Australia in relation to the development of the Dugald River mining project in the north-west minerals province near Mt Isa, Queensland including the process plant, road infrastructure, port access arrangements and expansion, power supply, rail load-out facility and various other work packages.

Pilbara Power Project*
Advised Horizon Power in relation to the development of the 110 MW Pilbara gas-fired power station, including the preparation of the power purchase agreement, development agreement, connection and access agreement in relation to the transmission network and other associated documentation.

Independent Power Projects*
Advised various sponsors on the development and financing of the following power stations: Braemar Stage 2 (Queensland, 450MW gas-fired), Neerabup (Western Australia, 300MW gas-fired), Uranquinty (New South Wales, 600MW gas-fired), Tamar Valley (Tasmania, 210MW gas-fired), Newman expansion (Pilbara, 40MW gas-fired) and Playford B refurbishment (South Australia, 240MW coal-fired).

Springvale Water Treatment Project*
Advised Energy Australia and Centennial Coal in relation to the mine water treatment project for the Springvale Coal Mine.

Cooper Basin Expansion Project*
Advised Santos in relation to the expansion of the Cooper Basin processing plant and infrastructure in South Australia.

GLNG Electrification Project*
Advised Santos in relation to the electrification of its upstream operations in respect of the GLNG Project including the arrangements with Powerlink for the development of the NW Surat Network in Queensland and the connection of the upstream facilities and access to the Powerlink transmission network.

Ichthys LNG Project*
Advised INPEX in relation to the long term maintenance arrangements for the rotating equipment (including Frame 7s, Frame 6s and aero-derivative turbines) for the Ichthys Project's FPSO, CPF and onshore power generation facilities and LNG trains.

PNG LNG Project*
Advised Santos in relation to the various onshore and offshore EPC packages for PNG LNG, including the LNG plant, marine facilities and LNG storage tanks, the offshore and onshore portions of the pipeline, and the gas conditioning plant and well pads.
