Overview

Jason is an experienced trial lawyer whose practice focuses on litigation and arbitration. He has represented clients in state courts, federal courts and before arbitration panels across the United States.

Based in Miami and qualified in Florida and Illinois, he represents clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters, from commercial breach of contract litigation to multistate toxic tort class actions. He handles complex, high-stakes, complex business disputes for corporations, their shareholders, officers and directors.

From multibillion dollar fiduciary disputes to landmark restructuring litigation, Jason provides clients with the necessary knowledge and experience to help bring matters to a swift and successful conclusion.

Securities Fraud and Fiduciary Litigation:
Relationserve Media, Inc.

Jason represented Relationserve Media, Inc., as well as more than a dozen of its current and former officers and directors, in a purported securities fraud class action before both the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Forward Industries

Jason represented Forward Industries and several of its officers and directors in a purported securities fraud class action before the United States District Court for the District of Florida.

Food manufacturer

Jason served as lead trial counsel for a multibillion dollar foreign food manufacturer in litigation brought in Florida State court against a former corporate officer.

Restructuring Litigation:
Indiana pension funds

Jason represented several Indiana pension funds opposing the sale of Chrysler LLC, which was then in restructuring proceedings in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Jason was a member of a trial team that prepared and tried this high-profile case, which was of significant national and international interest.

Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of ChemRx Corporation

Jason served as lead litigation counsel for the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of ChemRx Corporation in restructuring proceedings before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of International Aluminum Corporation

Jason served as lead trial counsel for the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of International Aluminum Corporation in restructuring proceedings before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Intellectual Property Litigation:
WCI Communities LLC

Jason represented WCI Communities LLC, a luxury residential community builder and manager, in its trademark infringement suit against a real estate developer, before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Major building supply manufacturer

Jason represented a major building supply manufacturer in a patent infringement case brought against a competitor in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.

Pfizer

Jason represented Pfizer in a patent infringement action brought against a generic drug manufacturer in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

International Arbitration:
International telecommunications company

Jason represented an international telecommunications company in an arbitration initiated by a Caribbean television distributor before the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) of the American Arbitration Association.
