Overview

Manley Leung is an associate in our Asia banking, capital markets and restructuring practice, based in Hong Kong. He advises on banking and finance transactions.

Manley advises commercial banks and corporate borrowers on investment grade and leveraged finance transactions. He also has experience advising Chinese and Taiwanese banks on establishing a presence in the US and mergers and acquisitions and other strategic expansion plans in the US.

Manley's experience includes four years based in White & Case's New York office, and two years based in the Firm's Beijing office.

Experience

Advised JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. on a US$2.45 billion financing involving five separate revolving credit facilities provided to each of Xcel Energy Inc. and certain of its subsidiaries.

Advised Quad-C on financing its acquisition of Engineered Fastener Company LLC with (i) a secured credit facility with Madison Capital Funding LLC as a lender and administrative agent, providing for term loans and revolving loans of up to US$35.5 million and (ii) a note purchase agreement pursuant to which the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America purchases a 12.5% senior subordinated note issued by Engineered Fastener Company LLC in the amount of US$15 million.

Advised MC Credit Partners LP (formerly known as Cyan Partners LP), a US-based lending fund, on a series of financings to Endeavour Energy UK Limited to finance its oil and gas activities in the North Sea.

Advised The US branches of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Bank of China, China Merchants Bank, Bank of Communications, Agricultural Bank of China and Bank of Taiwan on a regular basis on investment grade or secured financings, receivables financings and other trade financings involving borrowers organized in the US, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan and operating in a wide variety of industries.

Advised China Development Bank on a number of export credit financings and credit financings for telecommunications projects, such as the landmark €150 million financing of Phase 1 of the UMTS project in Poland to support P4 Sp. zoo since its inception, and financings for other projects in Russia, South Asia and Europe.
