Tobias Johansson is a member of the firm's Bank Finance practice and has experience of advising lenders and borrowers in various types of domestic and international transactions. In particular, Tobias focuses on leveraged acquisition finance, but his experience also includes other types of finance transactions, including asset and project financing, investment grade lending and restructurings.
Tobias also advises on regulatory matters relating to financial institutions and services, with a particular focus on issues relating to bank recovery and resolution, bail-in and capital adequacy. In 2014 he assisted the Swedish Government in the implementation of the European Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive and Tobias is regularly engaged as speaker on topics relating financial regulation and legislative development within the financial sector.
Tobias has prior experience from other law firms and has also worked for the Swedish Ministry of Finance and the Swedish central bank.
Representing Nordic Capital in a number of transactions, including the financing of its acquisitions of Lindorff, Gina Tricot and AniCura, as well as the financing of the public bid offer of Vizrt, an Israeli company listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
Representing Swedbank in respect of a leverage loan facility for the private equity house fund Segulah.
Representing the senior lenders in connection with the financial restructuring of a private equity-owned group.
Advising Svenska Handelsbanken AB as issuer and Svenska Handelsbanken AB (publ), acting through its New York Branch, as guarantor, in respect of their U.S. Medium Term Note Program.
Advising leading Nordic financial institutions on certain regulatory aspects of their securities offerings, including in respect of MREL and bail-in.
