Mr. Piotr Gałuszyński is a partner at White & Case W. Daniłowicz, W. Jurcewicz i Wspólnicy – Kancelaria Prawna sp.k. and the Head of Banking, Finance and Restructuring Practice in Warsaw. In his legal practice, he focuses on banking and finance. He also has extensive experience in commercial law.

He has represented foreign credit institutions in contacts with the Polish banking supervision authorities in license proceedings and proceedings related to purchasing stakes in banks. He has participated in establishing banks and branches of credit institutions in Poland, as well as transformation of the Polish banking sector. In particular, he has advised in transactions of transferring banking activity from Polish banks that are daughter companies of credit institutions to Polish branches of those institutions. He has advised banks on drafting documents related to banking operations and new banking products.

Mr. Gałuszyński has participated in creating local and cross-border cash pooling agreements implemented by leading banks. He has vast experience in outsourcing banking services. He has often advised bank clients in negotiating loan agreements and other banking products with banks, as well as banks in national and cross-border financial transactions.

He has advised foreign investors in connection with the purchase of large stakes in various privatized companies in organizations from the food, construction and other industries. In addition, he has provided advice in connection with the restructuring and transformation of various companies which have been privatized. He has represented foreign investors during negotiations with the State Treasury.

Prior to joining White & Case, Mr. Gałuszyński worked for a leading Polish bank on the restructuring of non-performing loans. He conducted legal, bankruptcy and composition proceedings on the bank's behalf. Then, Mr. Gałuszyński worked for the Warsaw offices of several famous international law firms.

Mr. Gałuszyński graduated from the Jagiellonian University.

The prestigious Chambers Global 2008 and Chambers Europe 2008 lists Mr. Gałuszyński in the "Banking & Finance" category (as up-and-coming).

Moreover, the latest edition of IFLR 1000 2010 recommends Mr. Gałuszyński in the "Banking" category for the third year in a row.
