White & Case Hires Banking Lawyers
Ostrowski and Coddington Boost Banking & Finance Practice in Warsaw

Warsaw, March 16, 2011 ... The Warsaw office of global law firm White & Case LLP has strengthened its Banking & Finance capabilities with the appointment of two banking lawyers, Tomasz Ostrowski and Nicholas Coddington, as local partners.

"With Nick as an experienced English- qualified lawyer, and Tomasz' dual English and Polish-qualifications, this is a perfect fit as we build out both the domestic and international transactional banking practice in Warsaw, which is an important and growing market focus for the Firm", underlines Jonathan Weinberg, who is Head of Banking & Finance for the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE)/Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and who is based in Warsaw and Prague.

Ostrowski and Coddington joined from Clifford Chance's Warsaw banking & finance practice. Tomasz Ostrowski specializes in Polish and international financing (and refinancing) transactions, including acquisition finance, leveraged finance, financial restructuring, project finance, and real estate finance. His clients include banks, borrowers, sponsors, investment funds and venture capital/private equity funds.

Nicholas Coddington specializes in all aspects of international club and syndicated corporate finance, leveraged finance, and project finance and, real estate. He advises both banks and borrowers active in Poland in relation to commercial real estate finance, project finance, corporate finance and acquisition finance. He is well-versed in the various lending and security structures used both in Poland and across CEE.

Coddington’' and Ostrowski's arrival is part and parcel of White & Case's strategy of building the strongest banking and finance offering available in CEE.
