White & Case Advised PCAS in Connection with Its Acquisition of Proteus

Paris, September 22, 2010 ... Global law firm White & Case LLP advised PCAS, listed on Nyse Euronext and specialized in fine and specialty chemicals, in connection with its acquisition of Proteus, a biotechnology company, in which PCAS had a minority interest.

The transaction has been achieved through a contribution of shares compensated by a mix of new PCAS shares and cash.

Proteus is a recognized biotechnology company which focuses on the discovery, engineering and manufacturing of proteins of industrial interest, and on the development of innovative protein-based bioprocesses. The efficiency of Proteus' technology platform has been demonstrated by the successful track record of the company in the life science industry, including healthcare, fine and specialty chemicals, environment and bioenergy.
