JUVE Awards 2010 - Law Firm of the Year for the Public Sector

Frankfurt, November 3, 2010 ... At the JUVE Awards 2010 White & Case received the award "law firm of the year for the public sector". The most coveted awards in the legal profession were presented yesterday at a ceremony held at Alte Oper in Frankfurt. Prof. Dr. Norbert Wimmer, Practice Group Head, accepted the award on behalf of the entire team.

The laudatory speech emphasized the strong development of the versatile and at the same time highly specialized public law practice group. Its unprecedented presence in the top client segment had catapulted White & Case in 2010 within striking distance to the market leaders. The team had been able to defy the general downturn in the PPP market and had advised on bank regulatory matters of Germany-wide importance. The reason why catching up with market leaders had been achieved was, as highlighted by JUVE, to be seen in enhanced networking in the firm with other practice groups, actively promoted by the team under the leadership of Kersten Wagner-Cardenal and Prof. Dr. Norbert Wimmer. Moreover, gaps in regional representation had been approached strategically by providing for a stronger presence in Lower Saxony and Hesse.
