White & Case Announces Executive Committee Changes

Drivas Returns to Full-time Practice Focus; Brettle Steps Up to Assume Open Slot

New York, September 10, 2009 ... Global law firm White & Case LLP today announced changes to its Executive Committee, the Firm's decision-making body. Effective immediately, New York-based partner Dimitrios Drivas will step down from his Executive Committee post to devote himself full time to serving clients and further developing the Firm's Intellectual Property practice, which he leads globally. London-based partner, Oliver Brettle, will assume the open position on the Committee.

"He applied his hallmark client service approach of unwavering dedication, hard work and guidance to his role on the Executive Committee, and we are fortunate to have him return his full attention to the service of his clients and practice."

Oliver Brettle, a partner in the London office, will replace Drivas on the Executive Committee. Brettle has been leading the London office successfully for the past year, and he will maintain his responsibilities as that office's Executive Partner.

"Beyond his skills as an employment lawyer, Oliver has demonstrated his leadership as head of our second-largest office," said Verrier. "His experience and abilities in talent management and cultivation will be even more valuable now in a firmwide capacity."

Brettle joins the four-person Executive Committee, consisting of chairman, Hugh Verrier, Istanbul partner, Asli Basgoz and New York partner, Tony Kahn.
