Leading Private Clients Team Joins White & Case

New York, September 17, 2007 ... Global law firm White & Case LLP announced today that John M. Olivieri has joined the Firm as a partner in the Private Clients Practice in New York. Olivieri joins the Firm along with counsel Cecily P. Maguire.

Olivieri's practice focuses on assisting both domestic and foreign clients with estate and tax planning, business succession planning and asset protection. He also advises charitable foundations and represents beneficiaries and fiduciaries in connection with estate and trust administration and related litigation. His clients include individuals, charities, closely-held businesses, family offices and corporate fiduciaries. Olivieri serves on the Committee on Estate and Gift Taxation and previously served on the Committee on Trusts, Estates and Surrogates' Courts of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.

Cecily Maguire's practice is similar to Olivieri's in that she brings an in-depth knowledge of the complex rules governing private foundations, estate planning for foreign-based clients with multijurisdictional contacts and other legal matters related to expatriation and foreign trusts. In addition, she has served on the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the American Bar Association and the Committee on Estate and Gift Taxation of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
