New Leadership Team Starts at White & Case

October 1, 2007 ... White & Case LLP's new leadership team, led by Chairman Hugh Verrier, began work today under the Firm's new governance structure.
Verrier, previously a member of the Firm's management board and head of the Moscow office, was chosen to lead the Firm in an election by the partnership in August. The Firm’s new Executive Committee, which acts as the Firm's executive decision-making body, includes Verrier and three partners he has appointed.

In addition to Verrier, the Executive Committee members are: Asli Basgoz, a corporate and financial services partner in Istanbul; Dimitrios Drivas, a litigator and intellectual property partner in New York; and Tony Kahn, a corporate and financial services partner in New York.
"Asli, Dimitrios and Tony have diverse backgrounds that reflect our Firm's global strength," said Verrier. "They will work with me to ensure we are focused on the core elements of our business: clients, people and teamwork."
Basgoz and Kahn were elected to serve on the Firm's Partnership Committee in August, but by accepting positions on the Executive Committee have resigned from the Partnership Committee. An election is underway to fill those two vacancies.
Six partners have been elected to the Firm’s Partnership Committee and will also take up their new positions today: Ian Forrester (Brussels), Tim Goodell (New York), Petri Haussila (Helsinki), David Koschik (New York), Carolyn Lamm (Washington) and Jan Matejcek (Prague). The members of the Partnership Committee will serve on the Firm's Compensation Committee and New Partners Committee. Verrier is also a member of and Chairman of the Partnership Committee.
