Bolivian President Evo Morales recently proposed that Bolivia, Venezuela, and Nicaragua pull out of the Washington-based International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the World Bank affiliate for investor-state arbitration, to safeguard national sovereignty from pressures by multinational companies.
