White & Case Ranked Top Global Bankruptcy Law Firm Through Third Quarter of 2010

White & Case ranked first in The Deal's bankruptcy league tables through the third quarter of 2010. The table ranks firms by number of active debtor, creditor and other cases. White & Case has ranked first in The Deal's year-end bankruptcy league tables for the past three years.
As of September 31, 2010, The Deal credited White & Case with 964 active cases, more than triple the number of its closest competitor. The magazine noted that the Firm "continues to dominate other law firms in the number of active cases." The magazine also named 13 White & Case partners among the top individual bankruptcy lawyers worldwide. They were Biner Bähr, Sylvia Fiebig, Evan Hollander, Brian Holman, Thomas Lauria, Carlos Mack, Henning Mordhorst, Stephanie Pidun, Bettina Schmudde, Christoph Schulte-Kaubruegger, Sven-Holger Undritz and Gerard Uzzi.
In addition, The Deal ranked White & Case among the top five law firms by volume through the third quarter of 2010 for US bankruptcy cases. Also in the United States, partner Thomas Lauria, head of the Firm's Global Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Practice, was ranked second in individual cases with 28 active cases with an asset volume of $894 billion.
