René Arce Lozano joined White & Case in January 2003 and specializes in mergers and acquisitions, regulatory transactions, securities, banking, special commercial litigation, and corporate finance matters.

Prior to joining the Monterrey office, Mr. Arce Lozano was part of the White & Case Washington, D.C. office from January 2003 to January 2006. During this time, he participated in various special commercial litigation procedures involving a wide range of steel products, cement, and agricultural products before the Department of Commerce, the United States International Trade Commission, the United States Court of International Trade and the World Trade Organization.

Prior to joining White & Case, Mr. Arce Lozano worked as corporate counsel for a multinational steel conglomerate in Mexico, the United States and Germany where he attended several acquisitions of steel-related plants and strategic investments in Mexico, the United States, Europe and Central America.

Recently, Mr. Arce Lozano has been actively involved in representing several Mexican States in non-recourse structured financing transactions exceeding US$600 Million (including active participation in the enactment of state legal reforms to finance laws), infrastructure financing facilities in excess of US$400 Million (i.e., toll roads, government buildings, media libraries), and cross-border transactions in the banking sector.
