Practice Experience
Ms. Feldman is an associate in the litigation department of the Los Angeles office of White & Case. She focuses on complex business disputes, representing large corporations in a variety of industries, including social media, telecommunications, manufacturing, accounting, and computer software and programming. Her practice includes cases involving consumer class actions, commercial contract disputes, business torts, privacy and defamation laws, and trademark infringement. Some of Ms. Feldman's current and recent cases include:
- Serving as a key member of a team that handles all international litigation for Facebook, Inc., including matters implicating international data protection, defamation, hosting provider liability, and censorship laws.
- Representation of a baby product manufacturer in multi-district litigation proceedings comprised of numerous putative consumer class actions asserting claims for fraud, breach of warranty, and unjust enrichment. The court denied certification of both a nationwide class and a class comprised only of Missouri residents.
- Representation of a cable service provider in defense of unfair competition class actions alleging false advertising and improper billing for service outages. In the first case, the court denied plaintiff's motion for class certification, after which plaintiff voluntarily dismissed her case. In the second case, plaintiffs voluntarily dismissed their case after limited discovery and prior to the deadline for filing their motion for class certification.
- Representation of a national fitness club in defense of a putative nationwide class action alleging the early termination fee in its form contract constituted an illegal penalty and was not enforceable. The court granted the motion to dismiss and entered judgment in favor of the Firm's client.
- Member of the trial and appellate team representing the Log Cabin Republicans in its high-profile lawsuit that challenged the constitutionality of the US military's "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy. As part of the trial team, Ms. Feldman examined three experts witnesses in such areas as unit cohesion, women in the military, and foreign militaries. Log Cabin prevailed on its claims and, on October 12, 2010, the district court enjoined the United States from enforcing “Don't Ask Don’t Tell”.
- Representation of a public accounting firm partner under investigation for violation of securities laws.
- Member of a team conducting an internal investigation regarding possible FCPA violations by Indian, Polish, and Russian subsidiaries of a NYSE-traded company.
