Practice Experience

Stephen T. Ostrowski is an associate in the Firm's Washington, DC office. Mr. Ostrowski's practice focuses on international litigation and arbitration, including investor-State disputes before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) at the World Bank. Mr. Ostrowski has also represented clients in arbitration matters before the International Court of Arbitration at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

Significant recent experience includes:

Representing the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in an ICSID arbitration of a dispute arising under the U.S.-Jordan bilateral investment treaty relating to an oil production sharing agreement, successfully defending against claims of over $700 million;
Representing the Republic of the Philippines in parallel ICSID and ICC arbitration proceedings arising from the termination of a concession to build and operate the new international airport terminal in Manila; and
Representing a consortium of investors in a dispute with a municipality regarding the implementation of a water concession contract before the International Arbitral Centre of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.

Prior to joining White & Case, Mr. Ostrowski was an associate at a leading international firm in New York.
