Practice Experience
Lennart Pettersson has advised leading Swedish private equity firms and corporations on domestic and cross-border M&A and has also represented international clients in Swedish joint ventures, private acquisitions and divestments, as well as public takeovers in Sweden. He has also acted as co-counsel to Swedish clients in a number of commercial disputes before Swedish courts and arbitration tribunals.

Lennart joined White & Case in 2000 as an associate in the Stockholm office. Prior to joining White & Case, he served as a district court law clerk in Stockholm.

Representative matters include:

• Representing Nordic Capital V Limited in its US$ 1 billion divestment of the Point International group to VeriFone Inc.
• Representing Nordic Capital V Limited in the divestment of the Atos Medical group to EQT fund VI.
• Representing DnB Bank ASA in the acquisition of the Sumitomo Corporation’s Swedish car financing operations (SC Finans Sverige AB).
• Representing Nycomed Sweden Holding 2 AB in its US$ 9,6 billion divestment of the Nycomed group to Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited.
• Representing Nordic Capital VII Limited in the acquisition of the Handicare group of companies.
• Representing Saferoad in the acquisition of a controlling stake in the ViaCon Group.
• Representing Jede AB, wholly owned by Nestlé Waters group, in the acquisition of Östgöta Automater.
• Representing Point International in the acquisition of Commidea Ltd.
• Representing DnB Bank ASA in the acquisition of SkandiaBanken’s car financing operations in Sweden and Norway.
• Representing Handelsbanken in connection with its sale of the life insurance and pension unit SPP to Norwegian pension company Storebrand.
• Representing Sperian Protection in the acquisition of Combisafe International.
• Representing Permobil in the acquisition of the French company Lifestand.
• Representing bioMérieux S.A. in the acquisition of AB Biodiskintressenter.
• Representing DnB Bank ASA in the acquisition of SEB Bilfinans.
• Representing Nordic Capital Fund IV in the divestment of Marioff OY.
• Representing Nordic Capital Fund VI in connection with the acquisition of ICA Meny from ICA.
• Representing Nordic Capital V Limited in the acquisition of the Permobil group of companies.
• Representing SAS AB (publ) in its divestment of a stake in the Rezidor group of companies to Carlson Companies, Inc.
