Practice ExperienceTanneke Heersche joined the Energy, Infrastructure and Project Finance practice group in London in 2004 and relocated to Johannesburg to become Executive Partner of the Johannesburg office in 2005. Tanneke is co-head of the firm's Global Mining and Metals Group.
Tanneke is highly regarded for her expertise and experience in the mining industry. She is recognised as a leading legal advisor by Chambers Global (2008) and the UK Legal 500 (2006). She was named as one of the world’s leading mining lawyers in Euromoney Guide to the World’s Leading Energy and Natural Resources Lawyers (2007) and was also highly rated by International Research’s Who’s Who of Mining Lawyers, (2005, 2006).
She has extensive experience in the mining and metals industry with an emphasis on advising on all aspects of the development and financing of mining and other natural resource projects in emerging markets and regularly advises major international mining companies in numerous countries around the world.
