Practice Experience
Vladimír Ivančo joined White & Case in 2006, prior to which he worked for a local Slovak law firm. In 2004 Mr. Ivančo graduated from Ghent University Law School - LL.M. program, with concentration in European and Comparative Law. Since joining White & Case, he has focused mainly on real estate, general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, litigation, public procurement and labor law issues.
Mr. Ivančo has been involved in several real estate projects. He advised primarily:
Visteon Slovakia
with respect to the acquisition of the land for construction of Visteon Plant in western Slovakia; and
numerous
Spanish real estate developers
with respect to the acquisition of the land for multiple residential projects in Bratislava, Nitra and Piestany region, including due diligence, and preparation of related transactional documentation.
He advised number of clients on establishment of their corporate presence in the Slovak Republic and on further corporate issues, including preparation of corporate and other legal documents in connection with corporate changes in the companies (increase of registered capital, change of legal form, etc.).
Mr. Ivančo had been also involved in several merger and acquisition projects. He advised Danish investor BLIKA on issues related to setting up of BLIKA Plant in Trebisov (eastern Slovakia), including preparation and negotiation of sublease and other related agreements.
He also provided legal assistance to Slovak and foreign clients in civil and administrative proceedings, including public procurement proceedings.
Furthermore, Mr. Ivančo participated in the performance of due diligence of several Slovak companies. The scope of the legal advice rendered by him included corporate documents, employment and environmental issues, real estate, insurance, litigation, and securing the necessary state approvals required for the performance of the business activities by the companies involved.
