Mr. Václav Jerman specializes in commercial and corporate law, telecommunications, mergers and acquisitions, economic competition issues, and administrative law.

Mr. Jerman has many years of experience as legal counsel in the privatization, management, and administration of companies, including regulations and transactions in the areas of telecommunications and IT, economic competition, and environmental law.

Telecommunications
He acted as legal counsel in the privatization of the two largest Czech telecommunication companies, in the establishment of the second Czech mobile operator, and represented major telecommunications operators in the establishment of subsidiaries and in telecommunication license tenders. He also advised these telecommunication companies in many different types of litigation, both commercial and administrative, against private entities and sovereign states, and continues to do so on a regular, ongoing basis.

Drawing on his extensive experience and expertise in the information technology and telecommunications sectors, Mr. Jerman also advises on both regulatory and transactional work for clients involved in those industries, including media law, print, film, TV, audio, video, multimedia, communication, computer, and software issues.

Corporate and Commercial Law
Mr. Jerman is a co-head of the corporate and commercial practice in the Prague office. In this role he has been advising a number of corporate clients from various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, utilities, car manufacturers, telecommunications and others, on a variety of legal issues related to their corporate structure and life as well as contractual relations, competition issues, and others.

Before joining White & Case, Mr. Jerman worked as an attorney at a well-known German legal firm in Prague.

Mr. Jerman worked three years as a specialized senior manager with the National Property Fund of the Czech Republic and gained extensive legal and economic experience in privatization of major companies. He represented the National Property Fund in the corporate bodies of major telecommunications companies and other companies.

Mr. Jerman is a member of the Appeals Committee of the Czech National Bank.
