Practice Experience
Mr. Walker’s areas of practice include all aspects of real estate acquisition and disposition, ownership, use, development and finance, and general corporate matters.
Mr. Walker has participated in and represented owners of, investors in and lenders to numerous complex real estate projects, including those of such major domestic and international developers as Arvida Corporation, JMB Realty Corporation, Crocker and Company and Crocker Realty Investors, Inc., Hannover Ruckversicherungs, the Walt Disney Company, AMFAC Property Company, Codina Development Corporation, and Temple Development Company.
He has participated in the planning, development, financing and sale of major commercial properties, such as the Town Center Mall Shopping Center, the Mizner Park and Crocker Center commercial/retail/hotel mixed use projects, the Boca Raton Hotel and Club, in Boca Raton, Florida, and the Dadeland Shopping Center in Miami, Florida.
Mr. Walker has also participated in the planning, developing, financing and sale of a variety of planned residential communities, including primary housing, resort housing and hospitality properties, including the Boca West and Broken Sound Developments in Palm Beach County, Florida, the Weston Development in Broward County, Florida, the Sawgrass Development in Jacksonville, Florida, the Long Boat Key Club Development in Sarasota, Florida, the Coto de Caza Development in Orange County, California, and the Cullasaja Club development in Highlands, North Carolina; and planned office/commercial/industrial projects, including Miami International Commerce Center, Beacon Industrial Park and Beacon Tradeport in Miami-Dade County.
During 1999-2000, Mr. Walker worked in the private sector as Managing Director of The Parmenter Company, a Miami-based commercial real estate development firm with interests throughout the southeast United States.
During his tenure with The Parmenter Company, Mr. Walker participated in a broad variety of office, commercial and residential real estate developments, including the identification of development opportunities and residential and commercial real estate investments, site and market analysis, planning and design, acquisition, sales, and equity and debt financings.
