At White & Case, we are looking for talented students and graduates with a high level of legal knowledge, a taste for teamwork, good communication skills and an entrepreneurial appetite. The aim of our internship program is to provide a recruitment pool for future associates. As part of the program, you will be entrusted with legal assignments, as well as research into doctrines and jurisprudence, preparation for consultations and drafting pleadings, contractual clauses or legal opinions. Trainees also participate in audits and negotiation meetings, and in the preparation of filings.
We welcome applications from students requiring internship placements as part of their university (Master 2 in Law at least) , bar school, business school (HEC, ESSEC, ESCP, EDHEC, EM Lyon), Sciences Po or foreign universities (LL.M., Master 1 dual law degree, etc.). An excellent command of English is essential.
The intricate and varied nature of our work means that associates are able to gain strong experience right from the start, assisting on complex and diverse matters with multijurisdictional components, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary and international teams. Junior associates are entrusted with assignments that quickly give them a high level of accountability and involve them regularly in the processing and follow-up of matters.
To be eligible for recruitment, applicants need to have obtained at least a Master 2 in law, a degree from a business school (HEC, ESSEC, ESCP, EDHEC, EM Lyon), Sciences Po or a foreign university (LL.M., Master 1 dual law degree, etc.). Candidates must also hold the CAPA. An excellent command of English is essential.
Employees in our business services functions provide professional support in areas that are critical to our Firm’s success. This support allows the Firm to operate efficiently while our lawyers focus on the needs of our clients.

Applying in France
Stagiaires – Legal Interns/Trainees
All applications are reviewed on behalf of our internship committee, which includes the partner in charge of the internship program as well as representatives from various practices in our office. The pre-selected applications are dispatched to the practices that the candidates applied for. Each practice decides whether to invite or not the pre-selected candidates for a single interview and then select those who will receive an internship offer.
Important: You will be asked at the beginning of your candidacy to indicate your Internship period as well as the practices in which you wish to apply.
We review all applications before organizing the first series of interviews. These are held in French and English, and will be attended by partners and associates of the practice you are applying to join. Successful candidates will be invited to a second series of interviews before receiving a final answer.
