Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Nordic Capital Fund VIII on the acquisition of a majority stake in GHD GesundHeits GmbH Deutschland from international private equity advisory group IK Investment Partners.
GHD is the market leader for homecare services in Germany, providing medical products and services to more than 140,000 patients. With over 1,700 employees, the company is a fully integrated homecare provider, including the production of its own medical supplies and compounded pharmaceuticals and strong wholesale and logistics activities.
Nordic Capital Funds has substantial experience in the healthcare industry through a number of current and former portfolio companies. In the German medical homecare space, Nordic Capital Funds has been active through investments in companies such as Convatec, Atos Medical and Permobil.
The White & Case team that advised Nordic Capital was led by partner Dr. Stefan Koch with support from local partner Dr. Matthias Kiesewetter and associate Vanessa Vieser (all Frankfurt).
