Alex Ydstie is an associate in our Mergers and Acquisitions group in Stockholm and joined White & Case in 2016.

Prior to joining White & Case, Alex studied at Lund University in Sweden and at Kingston University in the United Kingdom. He was previously a summer associate with the firm in 2015.

Represented Ingenico Group, the global leader in seamless payments, on its €1.5 billion acquisition of Bambora, a fast-growing global player in the payments industry, from private equity firm Nordic Capital. The transaction is the largest transaction in Sweden so far in 2017.

Represented HgCapital Renewable Power Partners and its Swedish wind farm investment vehicle Vasa Vind  in connection with an investment by APG in the 288MW Åskalen onshore wind power project, which is located in the central Sweden region of Jämtland.

Represented FSN Capital in connection with their investment in Holmbergs Safety System, a global market leader in child restraint harnesses for car seats and vehicle fastening systems.

Represented FSN Capital in connection with their investment in Bygghemma, the leading Nordic online retailer of do-it-yourself products (DIY) and home furnishings.

Represented Areim Fastigheter 3 AB in connection with the closing of its third real property fund with a capital base of SEK 4 200 000 000.

Represented Steen & Strøm in the sale of Torp Köpcentrum in Uddevalla, Sweden (31.600 square meters).

Represented a non-Swedish seller in its divestment of a Swedish real estate corporate group with residential properties in Sweden for a total consideration of approximately SEK 1.8 billion.

Represented a foreign buyer in its acquisition of two companies primarily specialized in development and sale of software pertaining to tablets and smartphone apps.

Represented ABB, the global leader in power and automation technologies, in the acquisition of Svensk Industriautomation, a leading provider of robot automation cells for machine tending.
