Christina Will advises clients on all kinds of energy regulatory issues, distribution law and energy contracts. Apart from advising clients out of court she represents clients in numerous legal disputes in front of authorities and courts. Christina Will is also regularly involved in M&A transactions.
Prior to joining White & Case Christina Will worked as a Senior Associate for another leading international law firm in Düsseldorf for several years. Furthermore, she was lecturer at the Dresden University of Technology.
STEAG GmbH and Bejing Capital Group Consortium Bid for EEW Energy, 2016
We represented a consortium consisting of STEAG GmbH and Bejing Capital Group in connection with the bidding process to acquire EEW Energy from Waste GmbH (EEW), the market-leading energy-from-waste company in Germany, from private equity investor EQT. We advised the consortium regarding the bidding procedure, due diligence, SPA negotiations, financing and merger control procedure. In the end, EQT has reached an agreement in principle to sell EEW to the competing bidder, Beijing Enterprises Holding, for approximately €1.4 billion.
Advising grid operators on hearing procedures concerning the approval of revenue caps and representation in corresponding appeal proceedings.*
Advising RWE and various other energy utilities in proceedings regarding price adjustments and corresponding appeal proceedings (including before Federal High Court).*
Advise of grid operators on issues concerning Investment Measurements according to the Energy Industry Ordinance on Incentive Regulation (Anreizregulierungsverordnung) including law suits before the Federal High Court).*
Advising Commerz Real on the acquisition of a 74.9% stake in power transmission system operator Amprion from RWE.*
Advising on arbitration (regarding contractual claims or disputes relating long term gas supply contracts).*
