Leona Lam is an associate in White & Case's Banking, Capital Markets & Restructuring group, based in Hong Kong. Her practice encompasses advising corporates and financial institutions on non-contentious and contentious restructuring and insolvency related matters. Leona also has experience with commercial litigation.
Prior to joining White & Case, Leona worked at a leading international law firm in Australia.
Advised major Australian banks, including Commonwealth Bank of Australia, National Bank of Australia, Westpac Banking Corporation, St George Bank and Bank of Queensland in relation to banking and insolvency litigation matters, such as enforcement of securities, insolvent trading, voluntary administrations, receiverships, liquidations, fraud, unjust enrichment, bankruptcy and winding ups.*
Advised financiers, corporate advisors and accounting firms, including Pitcher Partners, PPB Advisory, Ferrier Hodgson, Kordamentha, FTI Consulting and Ernst & Young, on voluntary administrations, receiverships and liquidations.*
Advised a Chinese state-owned enterprise (SOE) on its interest in a resources project in Western Australia.*
