COP26—Energy transition’s pivotal role in delivering climate change targets

In November 2021, more than 190 world leaders arrived in Glasgow to attend COP26–an international climate summit that most experts believe has a particular urgency. Countries are being asked to come forward with emissions reduction targets, with around 70% of the world's economy now committed to reaching net zero emissions. Pivotal to a path towards a low carbon future is the development and funding of energy transition projects. From the development of renewable energy projects to clean energy technologies, both governments and the private sector will be expected to deploy significant capital to support the energy transition. How can we develop and fund projects and provide energy industry leaders, financial institutions and governments a path forward to a decarbonized future? What impact will this have on sectors such as LNG, petrochemicals and conventional power? Join us in this session as our panel speakers explore the challenges and opportunities of developing and funding energy transition projects to deliver on COP26 goals.
