White & Case has been ranked #1 for Italian M&A by deal value in Mergermarket's Q1 2024 league tables, having advised on six announced deals with an aggregate value of almost US$13 billion. Mergermarket also ranked White & Case #1 for EMEA M&A by deal value, an achievement that reflects the Firm's work on 52 significant deals worth a total of US$45.4 billion during Q1 2024.
The Italian M&A team worked on several notable transactions in the first quarter of 2024, including advising:
- Jefferies, financial advisor to Unipol Gruppo, on its acquisition of UnipolSai Assicurazioni
- PAI Partners on their acquisition of Beautynova, a global leader in the professional haircare products sector, from Bluegem
- Infracapital and Infravia on their portfolio company Gruppo Investimenti Portuali's sale of the entire shareholdings held in PSA Genoa Investments and Vecon
- Swisscom on the antitrust aspects of its agreement with Vodafone Group to acquire Vodafone Italia
