Practice Experience
Amy Bagdasarian is an associate with the intellectual property group in White & Case's Silicon Valley office. Ms. Bagdasarian's practice includes representing foreign and domestic companies in disputes over patents, as well as in matters involving a variety of business torts including breach of contract, trade secret misappropriation and unfair competition. She has represented clients in diverse industries including, among others, software, video imaging, portable electronics, semiconductor chip technology and biomedical technology.
Her recent litigation experience includes:
- Marvell Semiconductor, Inc., et al. v. CSIRO. Representation of Marvell in a patent infringement case relating to wireless semiconductor products.
- ATEN International Co., Ltd. v. Belkin and ATEN International Co., Ltd. v. Emine. Representation of ATEN in patent infringement cases relating to KVM switches.
- Oplink Communications, Inc. v. O-Net Communications (Shenzhen) Ltd. Representation of Oplink in a patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation and breach of contract case relating to optical telecommunications networks. The parties settled the dispute.
- Quality Imaging Products, Inc. v. ISP Services. Representation of ISP Services in a District Court action brought by Quality Imaging Products for a series of claims including breach of contract, fraud and conspiracy relating to a software product distributor agreement.
- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) v. Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp. (SMIC). Representation of TSMC in a trade secret misappropriation action in Superior Court of California.
- Calyx Technologies, Inc. vs. Ellie Mae, Inc. Representation of Ellie Mae in a District Court action brought by Calyx against Ellie Mae for copyright and trade dress infringement claims as well as claims for false advertising and California unfair competition. The parties settled the dispute.
- In the matter of Certain Semiconductor Devices and Products Containing Same. Representation of TSMC in the ITC proceeding brought by TSMC against SMIC for theft of trade secrets and patent infringement related to semiconductor devices and processing technologies. The parties settled including a payment of US$175,000,000 to TSMC.
- M-Systems, Inc. et al. v. Trek 2000 International, Ltd. Representation of Trek 2000 International in a patent infringement litigation in Singapore involving a Singaporean patent relating to a USB portable memory device.
