On October 14, the SEC took further action to limit naked short selling by issuing three formal rulemaking orders, as well as two releases finalizing amendments to Regulation SHO. This is the latest of a series of coordinated SEC actions to limit naked short selling and substantially finalized a package of temporary naked short selling rules the SEC had adopted under an emergency order in September.
