Practice Experience
Allan Taylor is a partner in the Corporate Department in the London office. Allan has experience in UK and international mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, joint ventures and private equity transactions. He also advises generally on UK corporate governance matters. Allan regularly acts for both issuers and underwriters on initial public offerings, including London and dual exchange listings. He has written extensively on matters relating to listing companies on the London Stock Exchange, including co-authoring the Exchange's Guide to Listing Depositary Receipts, and is a contributing editor to the materials prepared by Practical Law on the Alternative Investment Market.

- RusPetro plc, a UK oil production company with assets in western Siberia, on its US$250 million IPO on the premium segment of the London Stock Exchange;
- Afren plc (a pan-African oil and gas business) on its US$588 million acquisition of two production licences in Kurdistan and related US$180 million secondary offering of shares;
- Troika Dialog Partnership on the US$1 billion sale of Troika Dialog Group to Sberbank of Russia;
- Nordic Capital on its acquisition of The Binding Site Group, a UK diagnostics business;
- Renaissance Capital in connection with its investment in a controlling stake in AIM quoted company, XXI Century Investments Public Limited, one of Ukraine’s leading real estate businesses and the related restructuring;
- Royal Bafokeng Platinum, a South African platinum producer, on its US$460 million IPO and listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange;
- Afren plc on its US$100 million acquisition of Black Marlin Energy, an East African oil and gas exploration company;
- Life HealthCare Group, a South African healthcare business, on its US$800 million IPO and listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange;
- Orascom Telecom Holding on its US$800 million rights offering of shares and GDRs;
- Bank of America Merrill Lynch, ING Bank and Mirabaud Securities on the US$100 million initial public offering of Exillon Energy plc (a Russian oil and gas business) and subsequent US$250 million secondary offering by Exillon;

- Adecco SA on its £110 million acquisition of Spring Group plc by way of scheme of arrangement;
- Zhaikmunai LP (a Kazakh oil and gas business) on its US$300 million secondary offering of new GDRs on the London Stock Exchange;
- MDM Bank on its merger with Ursa Bank to create the second largest private bank in Russia;
- Qatar Investment Authority on its US$6 billion investment in Credit Suisse;
- Strauss Group Limited on the acquisition by TPG of 25.1% of Strauss Coffee;
- RBS Hoare Govett and Merrill Lynch International as underwriters on the US$600 million rights issue by Imperial Energy Corporation plc;
- BMO Nesbitt Burns and Canaccord Adams as placing agents on the US$160 million secondary offering by Polo Resources Limited on the Alternative Investment Market;
