Vodafone-Softbank Deal Scoops Two Awards

At the Japan Asian Legal Business Awards 2007, Vodafone's $15.7 billion sale of its Japanese subsidiary, Vodafone KK, to SoftBank, was recognized as "M&A Deal of the Year" and "Japan Deal of the Year."

White & Case's role on the deal was as advisor to Deutsche Bank in connection with the financing arrangements for Softbank. Partners that worked on the deal included Christopher Kandel (London), Brian Conway (London) and Toshio Dokei (Tokyo).
