White & Case
  Banking

White & Case has a market-leading, Global Banking Practice that focuses on advising banks, sponsors and corporations in connection with:

  • Leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations.
  • Other financing transactions including asset-based lending transactions, real estate, structured trade, and commodity and investment-grade financings.
  • Workouts, restructurings, debtor-in-possession financings and exit financings.

We distinguish ourselves in this area by our ability to handle the most complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions. With established teams in all the major financial markets globally, including New York, London, Frankfurt, Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore, and in many regional financial centers as well, few firms, if any, can match our international reach, depth of local resources, seamless integration across offices and ability to provide US, English and local law advice. We have strong regional finance practice groups focusing on various areas, including Latin America, Scandinavia, CEE, the Middle East and Asia. Our clients also benefit from our corresponding and integrated Global Capital Markets Practice, which enables us to assist them with bank/bond/equity financings.

Acquisition finance lies at the heart of our Global Banking Practice. White & Case routinely advises on the biggest headline deals, and our lawyers have played major roles in many of the groundbreaking leveraged finance transactions seen over the years, going back as far as the buyout of RJR Nabisco by KKR in the late 1980s.

Our team comprises more than 230 lawyers in offices worldwide. The international strength of our Global Banking Practice is reflected in the fact that White & Case is not only recognized for its banking work in Chambers Global 2012 (one of the series of respected guides to the legal profession), but also in more than a dozen Chambers individual market and regional rankings, including rankings for New York, Latin America, London, Frankfurt, Paris and Asia.

As well as serving the needs of many of the largest banks in the United States, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, we also have a significant practice advising sponsors and corporate borrowers.
