Practice Experience

Biner Bähr works exclusively in the area of insolvency law and is one of the most frequently appointed insolvency administrators in Germany. Currently, he acts as administrator for the department store chain Hertie in its insolvency proceedings.

In the recent past, Mr. Bähr has inter alia successfully worked on insolvency proceedings of the publicly listed company EUROBIKE AG, the worldwide operating Hein Gericke Group, business units of the insolvent furniture manufacturer Schieder, the publicly listed stockbroker Börsenmakler Schnigge AG, the slaughterhouse in Gelsenkirchen, and the sun shading and swimming pool manufacturer Krülland. Furthermore, Mr. Bähr was appointed administrator over the assets of the former UfA subsidiary RMB Deutschland, the systems service provider for sound and image media AMS, the IT systems and consulting company CONET AG in Hennef, and the Premier League handball team TUSEM Essen. He succeeded in continuing and restructuring the business operations of numerous companies within the framework of insolvency plan proceedings.

Given his extensive experience advising major companies on restructuring, he is regularly consulted by national and international strategic and financial investors in connection with the acquisition and restructuring of insolvent companies.

Mr. Bähr's academic reputation is based on numerous publications. He frequently gives lectures on insolvency law both for clients and at conferences and seminars.
