Competition, State Aids, Downsizing, the EU’s Future and More

June, Brussels: The Brussels office will host The Conference Board's European Legal Council seminar on "Competition, State Aids, Downsizing, the EU's Future and More." The Conference Board is a not-for-profit global, independent membership organization that conducts research, convenes conferences, makes forecasts, assesses trends, publishes information and analysis, and brings executives together to learn from one another. A dinner will be held on 24 June during which Ian Forrester and Pontus Lindfelt (Brussels) will have their traditional debate on competition law enforcement. The introductory remarks will be given by Ian and Mark Powell (Brussels). Mark will also take part in a roundtable discussion on the day's presentations. Thomas Tindemans (Brussels) will give a presentation entitled "Institutional Overhaul: What Changes in the European Parliament and European Commission?" Guest speakers will include: Philip Lowe (Head of DG Competition, European Commission), Alfred Gerber (Sulzer Ltd), Tom Brookes (Apple), Roeland Van Aelst (Johnson & Johnson), Dylan Hughes (Welsh Assembly Government/EFTA Surveillance Authority), Alan Hodgart (C4 Consulting) and former White & Case partner Werner Vanderhaege (Vanderhaeghe, De Wolf, Boelens & Lambrecht).
