Practice Experience  
Detlev Gabel focuses on information technology (IT) and outsourcing transactions. In recent years, he advised many financial institutions and insurance companies on their national and international IT outsourcing and business process outsourcing initiatives.

Additionally, Mr. Gabel has broad experience in drafting and negotiating contracts regarding the development, licensing, implementation and maintenance of software and complex IT systems.

His expertise further encompasses data protection law, where he advises companies on all aspects of data protection, including the cross-border transfer of personal data.

He is a frequent speaker and publishes regularly on topics relating to the aforementioned areas. Furthermore, he is a lecturer for data protection law at the LL.M. program in IT Law of the Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg, Germany.
