We advise public authorities and major companies in planning procedures for airports, railways, highways and energy facilities. This includes environmental scoping procedures, drafting of planning authorization, negotiations with interest groups and representation of our clients in public hearings and in litigation.
In our project and infrastructure practice we regularly advise clients on such issues as land use, planning and zoning, as well as water, soil and natural resource protection. We also regularly advise developers of and lenders to power projects — not only traditional coal-fired and gas-fired power plants but renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, geothermal and hydro power.
In advising on projects around the globe, we apply our understanding not just of national legislation and international conventions and treaties, but of standards and policies of multilateral development banks as well as evolving international environmental principles such as the Equator Principles.
