White & Case partner Carolyn Lamm (Washington, DC) has been named by The National Law Journal to its 2013 "100 Most Influential Lawyers in America" list. According to The National Law Journal, these are "the lawyers who have shaped the legal world through their work in the courtroom, at the negotiating table, in the classroom or in government."

Lamm is a leading practitioner in international arbitration and was president of the American Bar Association in 2009-2010.

As noted by The National Law Journal, "Carolyn Lamm has been a key player in the growing field of international arbitration. A keen negotiator, she commands a presence at the arbitration table and in the courtroom. She's represented the Government of the Republic of the Philippines, more than 60,000 Italian holders of Argentine sovereign bonds and the country of Uzbekistan." It added that Lamm, as ABA president, "helped make current ethics rules for attorneys that had become antiquated."
