White & Case represented Pegasus Capital Advisors L.P., a US-based private equity fund manager, and certain of its affiliates (Pegasus) in its acquisition of the ultra-luxury resort and spa business of Bangkok-based Six Senses Hotels Resorts & Spas. Pegasus was honored as the recipient of the 2012 M&A Deal of the Year award for this transaction at the 23rd Annual Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific (HICAP), which took place in Hong Kong.
Pegasus acquired all of the resort and spa management contracts and related intellectual property rights relating to Six Senses and Evason properties. Through newly-formed Sustainable Luxury Holdings (BVI Limited), Pegasus will operate the assets, including 12 resorts and 28 spas throughout Asia, the Middle East, the Americas and Europe. This strategic acquisition will provide the platform to pursue international growth opportunities for the globally recognized Six Senses brand.
Partner Naz Zilkha led the White & Case transaction team, which included lawyers in our New York, London and Singapore offices and managed local counsel in ten other foreign jurisdictions.
