George J. Terwilliger III Receives 2009 Burton Award

George J. Terwilliger III, a partner in White & Case's Washington, DC, office and global head of the Firm's White Collar Practice Group, received the 2009 Burton Award for Outstanding Legal Writing for his article on "The Financial Crisis," published in the 1 December 2008 issue of The National Law Journal. George's receipt of the 2009 award marks the eighth consecutive year that a White & Case lawyer has won the Burton Award. This year’s awards ceremony was held at the Library of Congress on 15 June. The guest speakers included Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, author Bryan Garner, television screenwriter David E. Kelley and New York State Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye (retired). Bill Press was the Master of Ceremonies.
