White & Case
  Europe

White & Case offers clients dynamic and sophisticated legal services throughout Europe — both through our array of local offices and the breadth of our global practice.

We opened our first European office in Paris in the 1920s. Today, we have more than 1,100 lawyers in Europe in offices in Almaty, Ankara, Berlin, Bratislava, Brussels, Bucharest, Budapest, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Geneva, Hamburg, Helsinki, Istanbul, London, Milan, Moscow, Munich, Paris, Prague, Stockholm, and Warsaw.

White & Case lawyers advise financial institutions, businesses and sovereign governments in connection with their activities throughout Europe, as well as their activities and interests on other continents. The lawyers in our European offices combine proficiency in the laws of the countries where they practice with experience in cross-border transactions and disputes, and in the continuously evolving laws of the European Union.

In recent years, White & Case has significantly expanded its presence and resources in Europe. Most notably, we have joined with high-caliber Belgian, German and Italian firms. We also have fortified existing practices through the addition of highly experienced teams of lawyers. For example, in London we now have one of the leading acquisition finance practices for UK law and an outstanding intellectual property team.

White & Case has been active in Central and Eastern Europe since 1990 and has unrivaled experience representing sovereign governments and state-owned entities in the region. As the market economies of this region evolve, we continue to help sovereign clients develop the laws and regulations and capital markets structures necessary for the post-privatization era—invaluable experience for domestic and cross-border M&A, project finance, capital markets and other transactions. In 2007, White & Case was named Eastern Europe Law Firm of the Year at the Chambers Global Awards.

Our enhanced European capabilities, combined with our extensive worldwide network of offices and our sovereign experience, enable us to provide first-rate legal services to European companies and foreign companies doing business in Europe.
