The practice deals with all aspects of business-related visas and proceedings before the Departments of State, Homeland Security, and Labor. Mr. Maglich also co-ordinates with White & Case's many non-U.S. offices to serve clients' needs in moving and hiring personnel in various countries around the world. Mr. Maglich has experience in family-based immigration and questions of deportation and admissibility on criminal and other grounds. He works closely with the tax and trusts & estates department, in which he formerly practiced, to assist private clients in co-ordinating their tax and immigration planning. He has been a speaker and author on immigration topics for, among others, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
Mr. Maglich has worked with Human Rights First (formerly the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights) on asylum cases and as a liaison and analyst on broader international human rights issues. He has been a member of the International Human Rights Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Prior to directing the immigration practice, Mr. Maglich practiced immigration, trusts & estates, and tax law as a member of the Firm's Private Clients Group.
