Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Capital Markets Practice and Global Financial Institutions Industry Group with the addition of Anthony Tama as a partner in London.

"The White & Case Global Capital Markets Practice is a leader throughout the world's major financial centers with a scale and comprehensive offering that is first choice for international clients on their key capital markets deals," said White & Case partner John Vetterli, head of the Firm's Global Capital Markets Practice. "The addition of a leading high yield partner like Anthony underlines the enduring strength of our wider global practice and our commitment to providing exceptional client service across the full spectrum of securities products."

Anthony's practice focuses on advising global investment banking firms, commercial banks and public and private corporations across a variety of industries on multijurisdictional finance transactions, including the issuance of secured and unsecured high yield debt securities, syndicated institutional loans and asset-based loans. He also works on both the high yield and bank aspects of acquisition financings – a highly distinctive characteristic of his practice in the London market – as well as refinancings and comprehensive out-of-court debt restructurings. Anthony joins White & Case from Cahill Gordon & Reindel, where he was a partner, and brings more than 20 years of experience.

"Anthony is a leading high yield partner in London with a strong reputation in the market whose significant experience, technical expertise and commercial approach are highly valued by his clients," said White & Case partner Richard Pogrel, Regional Section Head, EMEA Capital Markets. "He is a highly strategic addition to our group who adds further strength and depth to the service we provide to our clients, with a successful deal track record advising underwriters and issuers that is an exciting fit with our existing practice in London and across EMEA more broadly."

The White & Case high yield team in EMEA includes nine partners based in Frankfurt (Yannick Adler; Rebecca Emory; Gernot Wagner), London (James Greene; Monica Holden; Anna Soroka; Anthony Tama), Milan (Evgeny Scirtò Ostrovskiy) and Paris (Max Turner).

White & Case partner and Vice Chair Oliver Brettle said: "Anthony's addition is another example of the strategic investments we are making globally to meet growing client demand for guidance at the highest level, including the notable recent arrivals of private equity partner Taurie Zeitzer in New York, commercial litigation partner Kami Haeri in Paris and, in London, white collar partner Neill Blundell, funds formation partner Emily Brown and M&A partner Patrick Sarch. Anthony also represents ongoing strategic growth in our successful London office, where since the start of 2023 we have promoted 17 lawyers to partner and added seven lateral partners in a variety of key practices and industries."
