Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised GRIDSERVE on a £200 million initial investment from Infracapital, the infrastructure equity investment arm of M&G Plc.

White & Case partner Caroline Sherrell, who co-led the Firm's deal team, said: "We have advised GRIDSERVE for many years, since its early stage funding rounds. This latest significant investment will support GRIDSERVE's drive to decarbonise transport through electric vehicle infrastructure in the UK and its mission to deliver sustainable energy on a scale that is needed to move the needle on climate change."

Mitsubishi HC Capital UK Plc and TPG Rise – TPG's global impact investing platform, have also increased their shareholding in the company as part of the Infracapital transaction.

"Our work with GRIDSERVE demonstrates White & Case's experience advising fast growth and infra-tech companies as well as our commitment to supporting the energy transition," said White & Case partner Emmie Jones, who co-led the Firm's deal team.

GRIDSERVE is a tech-enabled sustainable energy business providing advanced hybrid solar and battery farms, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and an electric vehicle leasing platform. The company will use the investment from Infracapital to, among other things, deliver over 5,000 high power chargers across its national charging network by 2025.

The White & Case team in London which advised on the transaction was led by partners Caroline Sherrell and Emmie Jones and included partners Martin Forbes and Nicholas Greenacre and associates Heidi Blomqvist, Chris Norris, Liz Blum and Anna Corderoy.
