White & Case advises Meyer Burger on CHF 206.75 million capital increase

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Meyer Burger Technology AG, a leading manufacturer of premium solar modules and solar cells, on a capital increase with gross proceeds of CHF 206.75 million.

White & Case also advised Meyer Burger on agreements with Sentis Capital and DESRI to exercise certain subscription rights, to potentially acquire subscription rights in the market, and to acquire shares for which no subscription rights have been exercised by way of a backstop. The proceeds of the capital increase will primarily be used to expand Meyer Burger's US business.

The White & Case team in Frankfurt which advised on the transaction was led by partners Rebecca Emory and Yannick Adler and included partner Gernot Wagner, counsel David Santoro and associates Ann Marie Hovey, Markus Stelzig, Phoebos Lazaratos and Jan-Christopher Wilhelms. Lawyers from the White & Case offices in New York and Washington, DC also advised on the transaction.
