White & Case announces London qualifying trainee retention rate for March 2022

Global law firm White & Case LLP will retain 83 percent of its London trainees who are due to qualify in March 2022, after 19 of 23 trainees were offered and accepted positions at the Firm.

The newly qualified lawyers join global practices including Capital Markets, Commercial Litigation, Debt Finance, Financial Restructuring & Insolvency, Intellectual Property, International Arbitration, Mergers & Acquisitions and Project Development and Finance. Two trainees are joining the Firm's offices in Paris and Dubai, reflecting the importance of English law expertise, globally, at White & Case.

White & Case recently confirmed the appointment of the University of Law (ULaw) to develop and deliver bespoke Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) preparation courses and Esteve said: "We are pleased to have appointed The University of Law to develop and deliver bespoke SQE prep courses for our future trainees. ULaw's expertise and innovative approach to learning will ensure that our trainees develop both legal and professional skills that ensure White & Case continues to deliver outstanding service to clients in an ever-changing and more complex environment for legal services."

The White & Case trainee solicitor programme in London has been established for 24 years and has an average retention rate of 82 percent over the past five years. Around 50 trainees join the programme each year and benefit from experience working on complex, cross-border matters as well as an opportunity to work in an overseas office for six months.
