White & Case elects 42 new partners for 2024

Global law firm White & Case LLP announced the promotion of 42 lawyers from around the world to its partnership today. The new partner class represents 11 of the Firm's practices, 18 White & Case offices and 13 different countries throughout the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific.

The promotions are effective on January 1, 2024.

Americas (14 new partners)

  • Kyle Bady has been named a partner in our Global Debt Finance Practice. Based in Miami, Kyle advises financial institutions, private credit lenders and direct lenders across a variety of corporate finance matters, including leveraged, structured, investment-grade, mezzanine, cross-border, and acquisition financings and financial restructurings.
  • Mariele Coulet-Diaz has been named a partner in our International Arbitration Practice. Based in Mexico City, Mariele advises on commercial and investment arbitration matters, with a focus on the infrastructure, energy and telecommunications industries in Latin America.
  • Fernando Garcia has been named a partner in our Global Commercial Litigation Practice. Based in Mexico City, Fernando advises regulated companies in complex commercial litigation and matters with a focus on regulatory, economic and administrative law, and constitutional litigation.
  • Rebeca García-Lopez has been named a partner in our Global Capital Markets Practice. Based in Mexico City, Rebeca focuses on capital markets, financial regulatory, banking and transactional work, M&A and general corporate matters.
  • Kevin Georgek has been named a partner in our Intellectual Property Practice. Based in New York, Kevin focuses on life sciences patent litigation and post-grant proceedings before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Heather Greenfield has been named a partner in our Global Antitrust Practice. Based in Washington, DC, Heather works with clients through all phases of antitrust government merger and non-merger investigations, counseling on antitrust issues and litigation.
  • Scott Lerner has been named a partner in our Global Commercial Litigation Practice. Based in Washington, DC, Scott represents companies and individuals across multiple industries in complex commercial litigation, class actions, investigations, corporate crises and other disputes.
  • Sergio Marquez Garcia Moreno has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Based in Mexico City, Sergio focuses on public and leveraged M&A, including providing corporate advice on transactions in the financial sector.
  • Yehuda Rubel has been named a partner in our Global Debt Finance Practice. Based in New York, Yehuda advises sponsors, corporate borrowers and lenders on a variety of corporate finance matters, including leveraged, structured, investment-grade, mezzanine, cross-border and acquisition financings, and financial restructurings.
  • Kathrin Schwesinger has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisition Practice. Based in New York, Kathrin focuses on large bespoke M&A transactions that often span multiple jurisdictions in industries including energy, chemicals and healthcare.
  • Raffaele Montenero Turco has been named a partner in our Global Project Development and Finance Practice. Based in New York, Raffaele works with clients during the entire life cycle of project development, from initial contract negotiations through construction, operation and pre-dispute resolution.
  • Ryan Ulloa has been named a partner in our Global Commercial Litigation Practice. Based in Miami, Ryan represents clients in both banking and international litigation matters.
  • Eric Urschel has been named a partner in our Tax Practice. Based in Washington, DC, Eric advises clients on domestic and international tax law, with an emphasis on the formation and operation of investment funds, M&A transactions, real estate joint ventures and other cross-border tax matters.
  • Michael Yates has been named a partner in our Global Project Development and Finance Practice. Based in Houston, Michael focuses on construction transactional matters, including world-class energy construction projects such as LNG terminals, petrochemical plants, carbon capture facilities and large-scale renewables projects.

EMEA (24 new partners)

  • Victor Aberg has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Based in Helsinki, Victor focuses on transactions—including private acquisitions and public takeovers—both in the Nordic region and more broadly.
  • Mark Andrews has been named a partner in our Global Project Development and Finance Practice. Based in London, Mark will relocate to the Firm's Abu Dhabi office in January 2024. He works across industries on the financing of major energy, infrastructure and energy transition projects.
  • Alicia Bali has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Based in Paris, Alicia focuses on corporate financial restructuring operations, domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity and venture capital matters.
  • Laure Bauduret has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Based in Paris, Laure advises clients on a variety of private M&A transactions, including disposals, joint ventures and corporate reorganizations.
  • Stefano Bellani has been named a partner in our Global Debt Finance Practice. Based in Milan, Stefano advises on leveraged, structured and acquisition financings, with a focus on private credit and direct lending.
  • Jens Broemmelmeier has been named a partner in our Global Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Practice. Based in Berlin, Jens is regularly appointed by the insolvency courts in Germany to act as an insolvency administrator for entities from multiple industry and business sectors.
  • Anouk Clamens has been named a partner in our Global Antitrust Practice. Based in Paris, Anouk focuses on antitrust investigations and proceedings before the French Competition Authority, primarily in the technology and retail sectors.
  • Tom Clarke has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Based in London, Tom advises on a broad range of corporate transactions including acquisitions, sales, co-investments, joint ventures, minority and growth capital investments, corporate restructurings and management incentivization structures.
  • Piero de Mattia has been named a partner in our Global Capital Markets Practice. Based in Milan, Piero focuses on Italian and international IPOs, private placements and rights issues, as well as tender offers and other public M&A transactions.

  • Raif Hassan has been named a partner in our Global Commercial Litigation Practice. Based in London, Raif advises on complex cross-border litigation and arbitration including multi-party and collective proceedings across a variety of industries.
  • Thyl Hassler has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Based in Dusseldorf, Thyl represents strategic investors, corporates and financial sponsors in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, with a focus on the energy, chemicals and infrastructure sectors.
  • Rasmus Luning has been named a partner in our International Arbitration Practice. Based in Stockholm, Rasmus focuses on both Swedish and international arbitration, in particular energy, infrastructure, post-M&A and corporate disputes.
  • Claire Patrick has been named a partner in our Global Project Development and Finance Practice. Based in London, Claire will relocate to the Firm's Abu Dhabi office in January 2024. She focuses primarily on the energy sector and is at the forefront of low-carbon fuels for energy transition initiatives.
  • Caitlin Powell Gimpel has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Based in Milan and on secondment from Chicago, Caitlin advises clients on complex business transactions, including cross-border M&A, divestitures, take-privates, minority investments, and employment and equity agreements.
  • Hugues Racovski has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Based in Paris, Hugues advises clients on a variety of complex M&A, private equity, growth capital and financial restructuring transactions in all industries, with a focus on the technology sector.

  • Alex Woodfield has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Based in London, Alex focuses on complex, cross-border M&A and shareholder activism, with a focus on private capital and real estate investment.
  • Vaclav Zaloudek has been named a partner in our Global Commercial Litigation Practice. Based in Prague, Vaclav advises clients on energy-related, commercial and employment litigation, focusing on domestic and EU regulatory issues.

  • Cristian Blumm has been named a partner in our Global Project Development and Finance Practice. Based in Singapore, Cristian advises on a range of transactions involving large-scale energy projects, including project development, joint ventures, financing and M&A matters.
  • Fiona Curl has been named a partner in our Global Project Development and Finance Practice. Based in Melbourne, Fiona helps government and private sector clients develop and finance major infrastructure projects, particularly in the renewable energy and transport sector.
  • Chris Settle has been named a partner in our Global Project Development and Finance Practice. Based in Melbourne, Chris advises on energy and infrastructure development transactions, with experience in both the new energy and rail sectors.
