Global law firm White & Case LLP advised global alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group on its acquisition of 70% of Sagemcom, a global high-technology group specializing in broadband communications and energy activities, from private equity firm The Gores Group.
Sagemcom, which has 6,000 employees worldwide and generated more than €1.4 billion in revenue in 2010, is 30%-owned by its management and employees, with Carlyle holding the remaining ownership.
White & Case advised Carlyle on both the M&A and antitrust aspects of the acquisition.
