White & Case Advises Samba Capital on Al Hammadi Company for Development & Investment IPO

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Samba Capital, the Saudi Arabian provider of asset management, brokerage, investment banking and corporate finance services, in its capacity as financial advisor, lead manager, book runner and underwriter on the initial public offering of Al Hammadi Company for Development & Investment.

The IPO, which was completed successfully in July 2014, consisted of newly issued 22.5 million shares in Al Hammadi with an aggregate value of SAR 630 million. Al Hammadi's main activity is owning, operating and managing hospitals.

Riyadh-based White & Case counsel Robert Vydra said: "It was a pleasure to work with our client on this transaction, which underlines the Firm's on-the-ground capability in Riyadh to successfully support capital markets deals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and across the Gulf Cooperation Council more broadly."

The White & Case team in Riyadh was led by counsel Robert Vydra and included partner Dr. Waleed Al-Nuwaiser with support from associates Mishari Alabbad and Zeyad Al-Salloum.

The Firm has been active in Saudi Arabia since the 1950s, with an office presence in the country since 1989 from which clients are provided with both Saudi Arabian and international legal services. The legal team in Riyadh, which includes six partners, advises international investors and lenders, private companies, the Saudi government and Saudi public institutions on a range of issues and can call on the support of lawyers in the Firm’s other Gulf Cooperation Council offices (Doha and the United Arab Emirates) as well as the White & Case network worldwide.
